Hi, my name is Melissa Black. I have been teaching art since 2010 and I am excited to start yet another year here at Woodglen in the art room! I love helping my students along their creative journey and watching them grow each year as they gain confidence in themselves as young artists. When I am not in the art room, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and my fur babies. I also love to cook and bake and have started to share the artistic side of that with my students through club activities when I can!

Mrs. Black

My name is Alycia Carlton. I am a Colorado native who has attend adams 12 since kindergarten. I have work with children since I have been 18; child care, BASE, teaching, coaching ect. I have been teaching for 10 year, 2 were subbing, 8 have been with woodglen. I will hold a masters in adaptive physical education, BA from Metro k-12 physical education and minor in nutrition. I love seeing the independence, confidence, and respect students gather in my classroom. When my students take care of one another in games/activities it is just a proud experience. When I'm not teaching I'm probably playing volleyball, working out, baking, paddle boarding, or playing pickelball. I love spending time outside with my family and friends.

Ms. Carlton

My name is Jennifer Trujillo. I have lived here in Thornton my entire life. I actually attended Woodglen as a student from K-6th Grade. I am excited to be back as a computer science teacher. I have been an educator in the district for 21 years. Many of those years I taught 5th grade and have also been a digital literacy teacher and now a computer science teacher.

I am excited to bring technology to Woodglen as a specials.

My name is Zoe Zanoff. I moved from California to Colorado in 2019 to pursue my Masters in Music Education at Colorado State University. I am now in my 3rd year of teaching, and my first year at Woodglen! Music has been a part of my life since the age of 9, and I love sharing the joy of music with students in the classroom. After school, I work for a youth orchestra and run a studio where students receive private music instruction. In my free time, I love reading, crafts, and spending time with friends and family.
