January Newsletter

We are glad to be back with your children during this time of remote instruction.  Thank you for your patience during the past two days as our district continues to work through various issues with technology.

Mid-Year Assessment Information

During the next two weeks, we will be completing in-person testing for many of our students. While this was originally planned for a one day event on Friday, January 15th, we have adjusted our schedules slightly in an effort to help reduce the numbers of students and staff in the building at the same time and to ensure we have sufficient time to complete the required assessments.  Each classroom and grade level will be handling this slightly differently based upon the assessment needs and requirements of that grade level.  Classroom teachers will be contacting you regarding the testing plan, sign ups, and asynchronous work expectations as needed.

Students will use their designated entrance by grade level to enter/exit the building on assessment day.  Classroom teachers will meet the students at the entrances and escort them out according to the sign up schedule.  Kindergarten will use the kindergarten doors, first grade will use the door by Mrs. Reed’s Classroom, second grade will use the end doors by Mrs. Espinosa and Ms. Weimer’s classroom, third grade will use the entry doors by the playground, 4th grade will use the main entrance, and fifth grade will use the end doors by Mrs. Carter and Ms. Brown’s classroom if needed.
