Field Day
FIELD DAY!!!
Due to the weather forecast, with a predicted high of 46 and a rain/snow mix, for Friday we are rescheduling field day to Monday, May 23rd.
Kona Ice will now be avaiable for purchase after school on Field Day! Cups range from $4-$6. Stop by and cool off with a sweet treat!
We are so excited to be able to host field day again at Woodglen this year!
I know that our students, staff, and your family are also looking forward to this great day. We want to make sure that everyone has the best experience possible on Monday, May 23rd. We appreciate your flexibility as we needed to reschedule due to the forecasted weather conditions.
Field day is intended to be a respectful, inclusive, and safe event for our students, staff, and families. With this in mind, I wanted to review our purpose for field day along with our expectations for the day.
Purpose:
Field days are all about creating memorable experiences for students. The events and field day games give students a chance to be outside together while participating in individual and cooperative/team games with their classmates.
Expectations: The expectations below are in alignment with the expectations for our students each and every day here at Woodglen. We are also requesting that everyone eats lunch here on campus during field day. We will be eating outside and there should be room for everyone.

Our best hope and expectation is that everyone is able to follow these and have an enjoyable day. If anyone is behaving in a manner that is disrespectful, disruptive, unsafe, or in any other way violates our school and district policies, the privilege of participating in field day will be revoked.
We appreciate you taking the time to review these expectations with your child prior to the event on May 20th.
We truly appreciate your on-going support and look forward to having a fun-filled day with your child and family!
