A Note From The Principal

Dear Woodglen Families,

I hope you all enjoyed a safe and relaxing holiday with your family and friends and are looking forward to another one in just a few weeks.  At Woodglen, we recognize that the holiday season and winter months is a wonderful time for many and that it may be a stressful time as well.  We maintain our focus on and commitment to supporting our students throughout the year.

This month, we have a few different opportunities to expand student learning, see our students’ talents on display, and share in the holiday season.  Mrs. Ellefson was able to secure a partnership with students from Bollman Technical Center in Adams 12 to offer an Hour of Code opportunity for all of our third, fourth, and fifth grade students.  She will be working directly with our teachers in kindergarten, first, and second grades to offer a similar opportunity with coding.  Mrs. Surbrook will have the Wildcat Chorale performing the first week in December with their Winter concert.  I am certain it will be a great way to get into the holiday spirit.  Finally, I am excited to attend our PTO’s Breakfast with Santa event.  It will be a great way to come together as a community and celebrate together.

As our first semester together comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to once again thank you for all of the support you provide to our staff and students.  I feel fortunate to be able to serve the Woodglen community.
