Student led announcements launch at Woodglen
Woodglen has just launched their very first student led morning announcements! Our gifted and talented 5th grade students helped us launch a Donor's Choose campaign to get equipment for our school to make a designated News space. Now, our multi lingual students can watch the announcements and understand what's happening instead of simply listening. Also, by turning on closed captions, we are creating opportunities to allow more reading fluency practice.
This story exemplifies our ELEVATE Focus Area: 21st Century Learners. Sharing stories of students who collaborate, think critically, problem-solve and are digitally literate to thrive in today’s ever-changing world.
