Dear Woodglen Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire Woodglen community for making me feel so welcome this past school year. I leave this school with so many fond and warm memories of the past few months. Your students and this staff have made an indelible impression on my heart.
I wish all of the 5th grade students the best of luck as they enter middle school. I wish all of your parents good luck as well:) For everyone else, I wish you all a restful summer, and a great 2023-2024 school year.

Skate City
DON'T FORGET!! Purchase your summer membership cards, using the online link thru Memorial Day! With a $5 summer membership card, anybody can skate all summer long for just $1 admission, AND Woodglen earns back $2 for each card sold!
The summer cards are valid at ALL Skate City locations throughout the summer, as well as weekends through September. A summer membership card pays for itself in only 1 visit!
Below is the link for the online card purchases, as well as the QR code to scan and visit the site directly just enter your school’s name (Woodglen Elementary) and then redeem the email confirmation directly at the Skate City facility for the physical cards.

CALLING ALL SUMMER READERS!
We have a summer reading challenge using the SORA app this summer. The great news is it's FREE and accessible through any phone, tablet, or computer. All you have to do is download the app, search for "Woodglen", then enter your student's login credentials. Then, start reading! Complete different achievements and fill in the BINGO card that came home in a book bag recently with your student. Here's an extra copy of the BINGO board in case you need it and a tutorial on how to download the app if you need help. Happy reading!
Free Summer Meals
Starting June 5 Free Summer Meals are available for kids (ages 1-18) at seven schools across the district. Find Schedule and location information
Starting July 1 Free and reduced benefits application opens allowing families to apply for the 2023-2024 school year.
August 5 Back to School Bash features free backpack and school supply pick up for district families.
