This is my 3rd year teaching at Woodglen and I am so excited for another fantastic year with my Wildcat family! I moved here from Florida 2 years ago, where I taught 1st grade after graduating from Florida Atlantic University in December 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education. I'm currently working on my Master’s degree in Educational Equity & Cultural Diversity (EECD) and Colorado endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (K-12) at CU Boulder.
Within my classroom I strive to create an inviting environment and encourage my students to explore their strengths and weaknesses in order to grow. I also have my students creatively express their learning through art and take ownership in their success. During these uncharted times I thrive to create new ways to implement my teaching remotely and will give grace to my students and myself with the technological challenges we will face! I can't wait to meet all my new students this year and learn who each of them are virtually until we can meet in person.
We will get through this together, as I always say "Teamwork makes the dream work"!
Outside of the classroom I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, paddle boarding, skiing and traveling. With ceramic artists as parents, I also have a relationship working with clay and love to create ceramic art and functional pieces on the wheel.
